• Establishes that electronic transmission of ticket contents to a clerk of court with the officer's unique identification constitutes the officer's verified complaint, eliminating the need for additional verification or certification.

• Applies to electronic uniform non-traffic citations and complaints (eUNTCC) and electronic traffic tickets (e-tickets) that are electronically generated and printed at violation sites.

• Maintains officer certification status and full rights, responsibilities, and liabilities for electronically filed tickets, while preserving exceptions for certain serious offenses including DUI, accidents with injuries or deaths, and felony charges.

• Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and gubernatorial approval.
