HB96 Summary

• Allows retail licensees with entertainment district designation to sell alcoholic beverages for on-premises consumption and permits patrons to exit with open containers and consume beverages anywhere within the entertainment district boundaries.

• Modifies brewpub licenses to authorize sales of beer for both on-premises and off-premises consumption, in addition to existing on-premises-only sales restrictions.

• Creates new craft brewer license for producers of no more than 2,000,000 barrels of beer per year, allowing operation of food facilities on premises and direct retail sales of beer to consumers on licensed premises.

• Establishes annual license fees of $1,000 for brewpubs and $500 for craft brewers.

• Effective the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
