• Recognizes April as National Community College Month in Alabama to celebrate the Alabama Community College System (ACCS).

• ACCS serves more than 250,000 people annually through 25 community and technical colleges, Marion Military Institute, and 89 instructional sites across all Alabama counties.

• Approximately 15,000 community college students transfer annually to four-year institutions, and more than 254,000 students have utilized the Statewide Articulation and Transfer Reporting System since 1998.

• Alabama Community College System awarded 3,700 scholarships and enrolled over 8,100 high school students in dual enrollment and early college programs in 2014, while the Alabama Technology Network worked with over 3,500 businesses and helped save or retain 14,000 jobs over the past decade.

• Urges all Alabamians and business and industry leaders to support and use local community colleges for workforce development in the 21st century.
