Nominates Officer Jason Moore of the Huntsville Police Department for the 2015 Alabama Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement, Alabama's highest law enforcement award for extraordinary courage.

On April 4, 2014, Officer Moore and Officer Reynard Robinson responded to a domestic dispute where an armed offender fired a shotgun at their vehicles and subsequently shot Officer Moore in the face, neck, and shoulder.

Despite severe injuries, Officer Moore returned fire while Officer Robinson provided cover fire, enabling Moore to escape to safety as the offender was eventually killed during a multi-hour standoff.

Recognizes the quick thinking and courageous determination of both officers in detaining a highly dangerous offender and protecting the community.

Directs that Officer Moore receive a copy of the resolution as evidence of the legislature's admiration and esteem.
