Recognizes Officer Morris Garner of the Birmingham Police Department as a nominee for the 2015 Alabama Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement.

On January 12, 2014, at 6:45 a.m., Officer Garner responded to a house fire and rescued a woman trapped inside by rushing into the burning residence and carrying her to safety.

Officer Garner and the rescued woman both suffered smoke inhalation injuries and received hospital treatment.

Alabama Legislature honors Officer Garner for demonstrating quick thinking, diligence, and courageous determination in risking his life to preserve another's.

Directs that Officer Garner receive a copy of the resolution as evidence of the Legislature's admiration and esteem.
