Heart Gallery Alabama is commended on its 10th year of operation, having been organized in 2005 to advocate for children in Alabama's foster care system without permanent families.

Organization operates as a 501(c)(3) non-profit partnering with the Alabama Department of Human Resources to serve all 67 counties in the state.

Has created more than 1,000 photographs and video interviews of foster children and directly assisted in permanent placement of more than 500 children.

Responds to more than 2,000 inquiries annually from prospective adoptive parents seeking to provide homes for Alabama's foster children.

House adopted the resolution on May 14, 2015, and the Senate adopted it on May 21, 2015.
