West Limestone High School Wildcats Basketball Team won the Class 4A State Basketball Championship on February 27, 2015, defeating Westminster Christian Academy 53-42 at the Birmingham Jefferson Civic Center.

Team finished the 2014-2015 season with a record of 33-3 and held titles as Northwest Regional 4A Champions, Area 15 4A Champions, and Limestone County Champions.

Senior players recognized include Zane Griffin, Grant Baugher, Hunter Morgan, Jacob Martin, David Hinds, Jeremy Romine, Jake Smith, and Jordan McKelroy.

Head Coach Justin Taylor and Assistant Coach Jordan Paul are credited for the team's success through their experience, dedication, and leadership in creating one of the most disciplined and well-coached teams in the area.

The West Limestone High School Wildcats Basketball Team is recognized and highly commended by the Alabama Legislature, with a copy of the resolution to be displayed at the school.
