The Links, Incorporated was established in 1946 as an international not-for-profit organization focused on civic engagement and improvement with over 12,000 members across 42 states, the District of Columbia, and the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.

Nine chapters operate in Alabama with more than 275 members who document over 100,000 hours of volunteer service annually to their communities.

The organization's programs impact quality of life through five focus areas: The Arts, National Trends and Services, Services to Youth, International Trends and Services, and Health and Human Services.

Alabama Links Day at the Capitol is scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, 2015, with a focus on supporting living wage opportunities for working adults in Alabama.

The Alabama House of Representatives recognizes The Links, Incorporated's humanitarian efforts in the state and welcomes its members to the Capitol during Links Day at the Capitol.
