Commends Conservation Enforcement Officer Area Sergeant Keith Mann of the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division as a nominee for the 2015 Alabama Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement.

On March 8, 2014, Sergeant Mann observed a motorcycle collide with a truck and immediately radioed for assistance after discovering the motorcycle operator, Harold Beverly, had a leg nearly severed below the knee.

Sergeant Mann improvised a tourniquet using Mr. Beverly's bandana and his expandable baton, applied pressure to the injury, and remained with the victim until Air Evac paramedics arrived; an attending paramedic credited his ingenuity and quick actions with saving Mr. Beverly's life.

Sergeant Mann left the scene without seeking praise or accolades, with his colleagues only learning of his actions when an Air Evac paramedic mentioned the incident to another officer.

The House of Representatives recognizes and honors Sergeant Keith Mann as a nominee for the 2015 Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement and directs he receive a copy of this resolution.
