Heart Gallery Alabama is commended for its 10th year of operation, having been organized in 2005 to advocate for children in Alabama's foster care system.

Heart Gallery Alabama has created more than 1,000 photographs and video interviews of foster children and partners with the Alabama Department of Human Resources across all 67 counties.

The organization has directly assisted in the permanent placement of more than 500 children and responds to more than 2,000 inquiries from prospective parents annually.

Heart Gallery Alabama works with professional volunteer photographers to create photographic exhibits and online video interviews that showcase each child's uniqueness to potential families.

The House of Representatives honors and commends Heart Gallery Alabama for its innovative services and significant difference made in the lives of Alabama's foster children and families.
