Heart Gallery Alabama is commended on its 10th year of operation, having been organized in 2005 to advocate for children in Alabama's foster care system.

Organization has grown into a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency partnering with the Alabama Department of Human Resources to serve children in all 67 counties.

Heart Gallery Alabama has created over 1,000 photographs and video interviews of foster children and directly assisted in the permanent placement of more than 500 children since 2005.

Organization responds to more than 2,000 inquiries from prospective parents annually and operates based on the belief that "there are no unwanted children, only unfound families."

House of Representatives honors and commends Heart Gallery Alabama for its recruitment efforts, public education, and innovative services to children and families in the State of Alabama.
