Bolton has served as Director and Chairman of Community Spirit Bank for 50 years, including 32 years as President and CEO.

Served four years on Red Bay City Council as Mayor Pro-tem and two terms as Mayor of Red Bay, working full-time on a part-time salary.

Contributed to numerous community organizations including the Red Bay Civitan Club, Jaycees, Medical Clinic Board, Chamber of Commerce, and served as Director of the Dr. Walker Dempsey Hospital Foundation and American Heart Association Chairman.

Served two years in armed forces; is active in First Baptist Church in Red Bay and American Legion; has been married to his wife Judy for 50 years with three children and six grandchildren.
