HR 23 - Mourning the Death of Mrs. Rose Marie Moore Taylor

• Mrs. Rose Marie Moore Taylor was born March 15, 1927, in Mobile, Alabama, and passed away; she earned degrees from Tennessee A and I University, Tuskegee Institute, and Alabama State College.

• Served as a librarian and teacher for more than 40 years in the Mobile County Public School System, earning the Mobile County Education Award, Teacher of the Year Award, and Heart of Gold Award.

• Was a lifelong member of State Street AME Zion Church, serving as a deaconess and Chair of the Life Members Council, and was honored as Legend of Zion by the Jackson District.

• Survivors include her son Gerald Taylor, grandson Marcus E.C. Abram Taylor, two sisters, two sisters-in-law, 11 nieces, eight nephews, and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

• The House of Representatives expressed gratitude for her abundant life and offered this resolution in tribute to her inspiring legacy and in sympathy to her family and friends.
