Commends Meredith Goggins of Montevallo, Alabama, for heroic rescue actions on May 22, 2015, at Perdido Beach.

Goggins and three fellow Montevallo High School graduates (Kayla Smith, Lupe Serrano, and Katie Hamrick) rescued three young girls who were 30-40 feet out in the ocean and in distress.

Paramedics performed CPR on the two older girls, who were flown to Sacred Heart Hospital; the youngest girl did not require hospitalization.

Goggins incurred injuries during the rescue and was hospitalized, demonstrating exemplary character and decisiveness in a life-threatening situation.

Directs that a copy of this resolution be presented to Meredith Goggins in admiration and appreciation for her heroic efforts.
