Commends Daniel A. Nolen of Birmingham, Alabama for attaining the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America.

Eagle Scout Award is earned by only 4-5 percent of scouts and requires completion of an Eagle Project and many years of scouting achievement; Nolen met requirements on November 6, 2014.

Nolen's Eagle Project involved leading a group to stripe the driveways and parking lot at Ossie Ware Mitchell Middle School in Birmingham for safety improvements.

Nolen graduated from Oak Mountain High School with a 4.21 GPA and is active in baseball, marching band, National Honor Society, and other extracurricular activities; he plans to attend University of Alabama on an academic scholarship.

The House of Representatives congratulates Nolen for his outstanding achievement and extends the warm personal regards of Alabama citizens with best wishes for his future endeavors.
