• Eliminates the requirement to publish registered voter lists and election notices in newspapers, instead requiring posting on county websites or the Association of County Commissions of Alabama website if no county website exists.

• Requires voter lists and election notices to be available upon request at a reasonable cost from the judge of probate's office and posted in public buildings.

• Mandates counties place display advertisements in newspapers (at least one-half page for voter lists, one-quarter page for election notices and voter removal lists) informing the public where the information is available online.

• Maintains the existing requirement to publish lists of voters to be removed during statewide voter file maintenance in newspapers, while also posting them on websites.

• Becomes effective immediately upon passage and applies to election cycles commencing after the act's effective date.
