SB255 Summary

• Alters the boundary lines of Alexander City, Tallapoosa County, Alabama to annex specified contiguous territory not currently within city limits.

• Annexes all of Sections 28, 29, 32, 33, 34, and 35 in Township 23 North, Range 21 East, Tallapoosa County, Alabama not currently in city limits.

• Annexes all of Sections 1, 2, 4, and 5; the East 1/2 of the SE 1/4 of Section 6; and the NE 1/4 of Section 7 in Township 22 North, Range 21 East, Tallapoosa County, Alabama not currently in city limits.

• Maps showing the annexed territory are filed in the Dadeville and Alexander City offices of the Judge of Probate in Tallapoosa County, with copies available for public inspection at the Alexander City City Hall.

• Becomes effective upon passage and approval by the Governor or upon otherwise becoming law.
