Applies only to St. Clair County and authorizes separate elections in municipalities and the unincorporated county area to determine if alcoholic beverages may be sold on Sunday.

Municipal governing bodies may call elections by resolution with at least 3 weeks' notice; election costs paid from municipal general fund; majority vote of qualified voters permits Sunday sales by licensed retailers subject to municipal ordinance regulation.

County commission may call elections by resolution for the unincorporated area with at least 3 weeks' notice; election costs paid from county general fund; majority vote of qualified voters permits Sunday sales by licensed retailers subject to county commission ordinance regulation.

If voters reject Sunday sales, alcoholic beverages may not be sold after 2:00 A.M. on Sundays unless authorized by subsequent election; no subsequent election may be held within 12 months of a prior election.

For municipalities partially located in St. Clair County and principally in an adjoining county, Sunday alcoholic beverage sales in the St. Clair County portion are limited to the same extent authorized in the adjoining county portion.
