Tallapoosa County Sheriff receives an additional expense allowance of $1,000 per month, effective the first day of the month following the act's passage, in addition to all other compensation and salary.

The monthly expense allowance is payable from the county's general fund.

Beginning with the expiration of the incumbent sheriff's term, the annual salary for the sheriff increases by $12,000 per annum payable in equal monthly installments from the general fund.

The $1,000 monthly expense allowance becomes null and void upon the successor sheriff's term beginning.

The act became effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor.
