AL SB41

Amends Section 32-5C-4 of the Alabama Code to modify medical exemptions from window tinting requirements for motor vehicles.

Exemptions for patients diagnosed with light-sensitive porphyria shall apply to all areas of the windshield and windows prescribed by the physician, rather than being limited by department conditions.

Requires the physician's written statement submitted with the exemption application to specify which areas of the windshield and windows require tinting protection.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
