SB480 Summary

• Amends Section 7-9A-523 of the Code of Alabama 1975 to authorize the Information Bulk Sales Fund to be used for administration of the Office of the Secretary of State.

• Modifies the fund's permitted uses from any general purpose to specifically allow expenditures for Secretary of State office administration, as determined by the Secretary of State.

• Requires that funds be allotted and budgeted in accordance with Article 4 of Chapter 4 of Title 41 and approved by the Legislature in the general appropriation bill or by statute.

• Becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor or upon otherwise becoming law.
