SB487 Summary

• Establishes the Lee County Legislative Delegation Office to operate on a full-time or part-time basis as determined by the county delegation.

• Staff shall be hired by and serve at the pleasure of the resident senior Senate member of the Lee County Legislative Delegation, with salary not to exceed that of the Chief Probate Clerk of Lee County.

• Lee County Commission shall pay all salary, benefits, expenses, and per diem for delegation office staff according to standard county employee payment procedures.

• Lee County Commission shall provide necessary office space, phone, supplies, furniture, and equipment for the delegation office.

• Act becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
