• Shifts the cost of audits and examinations performed by the Department of Examiners of Public Accounts from the state to the individual agency or entity being audited.

• Requires the Department of Examiners of Public Accounts to determine the cost of each examination or audit to be charged to the audited entity.

• Directs all fees, receipts, and income collected from audits and examinations to be deposited into the State Treasury's General Fund.

• Establishes that federal government funds received by the Department shall be deposited into a special fund and appropriated for the Department's exclusive use.

• Becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval by the Governor.
