Applies only to the City of Piedmont in Calhoun and Cherokee Counties for Sunday sales of alcoholic beverages by retail licensees of the Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board.

Permits the City of Piedmont's governing body to authorize Sunday sales of alcoholic beverages for on-premises and off-premises consumption by ordinance adopted by simple majority vote.

Allows Sunday alcoholic beverage sales within Piedmont's corporate limits and police jurisdiction on the same terms as sales on other days of the week.

Does not repeal or diminish any existing powers or authority of the City of Piedmont under state general law or any other local or special act.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and Governor approval, or otherwise becoming law.
