• Establishes the Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Reform Task Force to examine state and other states' alcoholic beverage laws and recommend cost-effective regulatory reforms.

• Task force composed of legislative leaders from both chambers (Speaker, President Pro Tempore, committee chairs), minority party members, and an ABC Board representative.

• Alabama Law Institute designated as primary research resource to examine laws, compile information, and draft recommendations including potential changes to the Code of Alabama.

• Task force charged with developing a transition plan for privatization of state-owned ABC stores engaged in retail alcoholic beverage sales by December 31, 2017.

• Task force shall report findings and legislative recommendations to the Legislature by the 15th day of the 2016 Regular Session, after which it shall be dissolved; legislative members entitled to regular compensation, per diem, and travel expenses.
