AL SJR105

Establishes the Alabama Forever Wild Trust Fund Study Commission composed of 6 Senate members (including 2 from minority party), 6 House members (including 2 from minority party), and heads of relevant state agencies.

Commission must study the Alabama Forever Wild Trust Fund, examine methods to better manage funds, and explore ways to improve cooperation between the trust fund and the Division of Parks.

Commission shall schedule an initial meeting upon adjournment of the 2015 Regular Legislative Session and report findings and proposed legislation to the Speaker and President Pro Tempore by the tenth day of the 2016 Regular Session, then dissolve.

Commission membership shall reflect the state's racial, gender, geographic, urban/rural, and economic diversity.

Legislative members receive regular compensation, per diem, and travel expenses for meeting attendance in accordance with Amendment 871 of the Alabama Constitution, paid from appropriated legislative funds.
