Notes his civic leadership roles as President of the Jaycees, Commander of the American Legion, Mason, and Shriner, along with multiple community awards and his 2000 induction into the Morgan County Sports Hall of Fame.

Extends heartfelt condolences to his surviving family, including his wife of 66 years, four children, nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
