Recognizes the 50th anniversary of Jefferson Davis Community College (JDCC), founded in 1965 as Jefferson Davis Junior College and merged with Atmore State Technical Institute in 1990.

Notes JDCC has graduated over 10,000 Associate Degree students and offers two-year programs designed to facilitate transfer to senior colleges and universities.

Highlights the nursing program established in 1972 offering Registered Nurse degrees, plus educational opportunities for incarcerated adults at Fountain and Holman Correctional Centers.

Commends JDCC for accreditation by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and recognition through student achievements, athletic accomplishments, and community service.

Directs the legislature to honor and commend Jefferson Davis Community College for its accomplishments and exemplary educational contributions over five decades.
