• Creates a Task Force on Psychiatric Residential Treatment for Individuals under 21 to study current statutory and regulatory requirements for operating these facilities in Alabama.

• Task Force shall report to the Alabama Senate with written recommendations for changes to statutory law on the first day of the 2016 regular session.

• Task Force comprises 18 members appointed by various state departments, agencies, legislative leaders, professional associations, and the hospital association representing psychiatric residential treatment providers.

• Senate Majority Leader appoints the Task Force chair; members serve without compensation and may conduct meetings via teleconference.

• Task Force shall be organized immediately, meet within one month of organization, and expires upon delivery of its report to the Senate.
