Pike County Commission may grant each board of registrars member an additional expense allowance not to exceed $20 per day for each day the board is authorized to meet and conduct business.

The expense allowance is in addition to any other compensation, salary, and expense allowances provided by law and shall be paid from the county general fund.

Effective with the expiration of any board member's term, Pike County Commission may increase the salary of board members by up to $20 per day for each day the board is authorized to meet and conduct business.

If a salary increase is granted under the provisions allowing it, any expense allowance previously granted shall expire and Section 1 becomes null and void.

The act becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
