Establishes "Lexi's Law" requiring instruction in cursive writing for public elementary school students by the end of third grade.

Amends Section 16-6B-2 of the Alabama Code to add specific language that handwriting instruction must include cursive writing so students can create readable documents through legible cursive handwriting by end of third grade.

Maintains existing requirement that handwriting be taught in public elementary schools while expanding it to explicitly mandate cursive writing instruction.

Becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor, or upon becoming law through other means.
