Authorizes issuance of distinctive "Stop Domestic Violence" license plates to Alabama residents upon application and payment of $50 annual fee in addition to regular vehicle registration fees.

Plates are valid for five years and shall be designed by the Department of Revenue with approval by the Legislative Oversight Committee for License Plates.

Net proceeds from the $50 annual fee shall be distributed by the judge of probate or license commissioner to the district attorney's office in the county where the plate was issued for domestic violence prevention programs.

Plates shall be issued, printed, and processed like other distinctive and personalized plates under Alabama motor vehicle law.

Act becomes effective January 1, 2017.
