Applies only to the Town of Kellyton in Coosa County and authorizes a local referendum on Sunday alcohol sales.

Kellyton's governing body may call a special election or hold the referendum at a subsequent municipal election to determine voter sentiment on Sunday alcohol sales.

Ballot question asks: "Do you favor the legal sale and distribution of alcoholic beverages within this municipality on Sunday after 1:00 P.M.?"

If a majority of voters approve, properly licensed retail sellers may legally sell or dispense alcoholic beverages on Sundays after 1:00 P.M. in compliance with state law and local ordinances.

Election notice must be published or posted at least three weeks in advance, election costs are paid from municipal general funds, and the Town may enact ordinances to regulate Sunday alcohol sales.
