Proposes a constitutional amendment to allow the Montgomery County Sheriff to participate in the Employees' Retirement System instead of a supernumerary program.

Prohibits future elected or appointed sheriffs in Montgomery County from assuming supernumerary office after the amendment's effective date.

Permits individuals already entitled to participate in a supernumerary program as of the amendment's effective date to continue that participation under existing terms and conditions.

Allows the sitting sheriff at the time of ratification to purchase service credit in the Employees' Retirement System for time already served, provided the sheriff foregoes assumption of a supernumerary office.

Requires an election on the proposed amendment to be held in accordance with Amendment 555 to the Alabama Constitution and state election laws.
