Town of Cedar Bluff council may regulate and permit sale of alcoholic beverages on Sunday for on-premises consumption only at properly licensed retail establishments serving the general public within town limits.

Council authorization requires passage of a resolution by simple majority vote.

Provisions become effective only upon approval by majority vote in a referendum election held in accordance with municipal election procedures.

Town council must provide notice of the referendum election by publication or posting at town hall at least three weeks before the election date.

Election costs are paid from the town's general fund; this act is cumulative with existing town powers and does not repeal any current authority.
