• Judge of Probate of Fayette County shall serve as chairman of the county commission beginning the second Monday of 2019, with duties in addition to other probate judge responsibilities.

• County commission consists of six district commissioners plus the judge of probate as chair, with each district commissioner receiving $16,790 per year adjusted when Fayette County employees receive across-the-board raises not exceeding 5 percent annually.

• Each district commissioner serves a one-year term as vice-chair on a six-year rotation in specified order, with the vice-chair receiving a $5,000 annual salary supplement and casting vote powers only to break ties.

• One of six single-member districts must have a population where the majority is minority or as near to a majority as possible; district commissioners serve part-time and may hold other employment if not inconsistent with their duties.

• Judge of Probate compensation reduced from 90 percent to 75 percent of the presiding circuit judge's total compensation for the Twenty-fourth Judicial Circuit, with all probate office fees and monies deposited into the county general fund.
