Proposes a constitutional amendment to levy an additional three mill property tax for fire protection in Marion County, effective beginning with the tax year for which taxes are due October 1, 2017.

Tax shall be assessed on real and personal property based on the Revenue Commissioner's records and collected through standard ad valorem tax procedures in Marion County.

All revenue collected from the fire protection tax shall be paid to the Marion County Firefighters Association for equal distribution among paid and volunteer fire departments in the county.

Requires a public election held in accordance with Amendment 555 to the Alabama Constitution, with ballot language describing the three mill property tax for fire protection and equal distribution to fire departments.
