Allows nondisability retirees from the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, or Coast Guard to obtain a pistol permit from the sheriff at no cost.

Pistol permit is issued permanently upon presentation of a United States government issued Veteran Identification Card or DD-214 Proof of Military Service form and sufficient proof of military retirement.

Sheriff may revoke the permit if the retired veteran is suspected of or charged with any crime, with written notice by registered mail stating the reasons for revocation.

Retired veteran must return the pistol permit within 30 days of revocation notice or face charges for carrying a weapon without a license or carrying a concealed weapon.

Act becomes effective on the first day of the third month following passage and approval by the Governor.
