Commends Sydney Culverhouse of Opp, Alabama, a freshman at Opp High School, for receiving a 2016 Prudential Spirit of Community Award presented by Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals.

Recognizes that Sydney raised more than $25,000 over the past five years by designing and selling custom T-shirts to support Birmingham Children's Hospital, Children's Miracle Network, and the Colon Cancer Coalition.

Notes that Sydney's T-shirt initiative began as a clothing drive to provide clean shirts for victims of Alabama's 2011 tornadoes and that she plans to continue the fundraising effort.

Affirms that Sydney's volunteer service, peer leadership, and community spirit exemplify the dedication of young people in strengthening Alabama and American society.
