Recognizes that an estimated 25.8 million people (8.3 percent of the U.S. population) are affected by diabetes, with over 60 percent suffering from Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy.

Notes that Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy causes nerve damage leading to intense pain, numbness, and foot problems, with the amputation rate in diabetic patients being 10 times higher than non-diabetic populations.

Acknowledges that regular clinical screenings and quality measures through systems like the Physician Quality Reporting System can reduce the burden of this condition.

Directs the House Clerk and Senate Secretary to transmit a copy of the resolution to the Alabama Chapter of the American Diabetes Association.
