Recognizes April 2016 as Child Abuse Prevention Month in Alabama.

Notes that more than 33,637 allegations of reported abuse and neglect occurred in Alabama during 2015, requiring response from the Department of Human Resources, law enforcement, prosecutors, medical professionals, mental health professionals, and Children's Advocacy Centers.

Highlights that the 33 members of the Alabama Network of Children's Advocacy Centers provided 6,991 forensic interviews, 976 medical exams, 15,498 therapy sessions, and reviewed 12,810 cases in 2015.

Acknowledges that Alabama is home to the birth of the Children's Advocacy Center model, which now includes more than 850 centers throughout the United States.

Extends appreciation to multidisciplinary professionals working to make Alabama a more secure and safer place for children.
