Designates April 2016 and the month of April every year thereafter as Sarcoidosis Awareness Month in Alabama.

Recognizes sarcoidosis as an inflammatory disease affecting multiple organ systems including lungs, lymph nodes, skin, eyes, liver, heart, brain, and nervous system.

Notes that sarcoidosis affects people of all ages, races, and genders and is characterized by formation of granulomas (microscopic clumps of inflammatory cells).

Encourages continued support of research and education efforts to discover the cause, improve treatment, and find a cure for sarcoidosis.

Adopted by the House on April 7, 2016 and by the Senate on May 4, 2016.
