Nominates Sergeant Steve Adams of the Autauga County Sheriff's Department for the 2016 Alabama Legislative Medal of Honor for Law Enforcement, the state's highest law enforcement award for extraordinary courage in the line of duty.

On August 13, 2015, Sergeant Adams and Deputy Jeff Bert responded to a residence on County Road 85 where an infant was found unresponsive and not breathing after a possible drowning.

Deputy Bert administered infant back blows to clear water from the infant's airway while Sergeant Adams began chest compressions; the quick actions saved the infant's life.

Sergeant Adams and Deputy Bert provided traffic control for the safe arrival and departure of Life Flight to transport the infant for further medical care.

House adopted the resolution on April 12, 2016, and the Senate adopted it on April 19, 2016.
