Request the National Conference of State Legislatures to conduct an organizational review of the Alabama Department of Examiners of Public Accounts, established in 1947 under the legislative branch's Joint Legislative Committee on Public Accounts.

Review shall include comparison of similar operations and best practices in other states and examination of the department's management practices, operations, procedures, and structure to improve effectiveness, accountability, and transparency.

Department of Examiners of Public Accounts receives significant state funding of $5,811,602 from the General Fund and $6,266,034 from the Education Trust Fund for Fiscal Year 2015-2016.

Direct the Department of Examiners of Public Accounts to fully comply with all requests made by the Joint Legislative Committee on Public Accounts in collaboration with the National Conference of State Legislatures.
