Commends Captain Jerry Wiley of the Birmingham Police Department for outstanding professional achievement upon his retirement effective March 31, 2016.

Recognizes Wiley's law enforcement career beginning March 31, 1980, as a Deputy Sheriff with the Orleans Parish Sheriff's Office in New Orleans.

Highlights his professional accomplishments including the Police Star Medal, first Group Supervisor of HIDTA Task Force, first "Precinct of the Year" designation in 2010 for West Precinct, and coordination of major city events including the Civil Rights Movement 50th Anniversary and Dalai Lama visit.

Notes Wiley's extensive career assignments across multiple divisions and ranks including Patrol, Vice/Narcotics, DEA, and command positions in the West Precinct and Patrol Bureau.
