Stanley P. Wilson is honored and commended for his induction into the Auburn University Agricultural Alumni Association Hall of Honor.

Mr. Wilson earned a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Sciences from Alabama Polytechnic Institute in 1953, a Master's Degree in 1958, and a doctoral degree in animal genetics from Oklahoma State University in 1961.

He held positions at Purdue University as Director of the Pioneering Research Laboratory in Quantitative Genetics and later served as Auburn University's Vice President for Agriculture, Home Economics, and Veterinary Medicine beginning in 1980.

Upon his retirement in 2001, Mr. Wilson donated 42 head of Angus cattle and all farm equipment to Auburn's College of Agriculture's Beef Teaching Unit, which was named in his honor.

The Alabama House of Representatives directs that a copy of this resolution be presented to Mr. Wilson in highest tribute.
