Grace Hare is honored and commended by the Alabama House of Representatives for her dedication in the New Shady Grove Baptist Church Youth Choir and outstanding academic and extracurricular achievements.

Grace is an eighth grader at Hueytown Middle School enrolled in all Advanced Placement classes, has maintained honor roll every year since elementary school, and received a certificate signed by President Barack Obama as a Superintendent's Scholar.

Her extracurricular activities include Drama Team, Science Olympiad, All-Country Choir, Track, Safety Patrol, Debate Team (placed first and second at Samford University competitions), Symphonic Band (earned first chair saxophone position), National Junior Honor Society, FCCLA, and Math Team.

Grace was invited to Washington, D.C., and Mobile, Alabama to participate in the Young Leaders' Summit for three consecutive years and serves as a First Priority Leader at Hueytown Middle School and on the Youth Fellowship Council at New Shady Grove Baptist Church.

New Shady Grove Baptist Church held a celebration on March 13, 2016 to recognize Grace Hare and two other teenage girls in the Youth Choir for their hard work, devotion, and faith.
