Commends Dr. Dorothy A. Autrey of Montgomery, Alabama for her outstanding professional service as chairperson of the Department of History and Political Science at Alabama State University.

Recognizes Dr. Autrey's 26 years of service at Alabama State University since 1990, with a celebration in her honor held on March 12, 2016, at Lilly Baptist Church.

Notes Dr. Autrey's educational credentials including a Ph.D. in American History from the University of Notre Dame and an undergraduate degree from Talladega College.

Acknowledges her prior teaching positions as assistant professor of history at Clark Atlanta University and Bethune-Cookman College, along with her service on numerous committees and special assignments.

Directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to Dr. Autrey in highest tribute for her exceptional professional abilities and dedication.
