Recognizes the HIV is Not a Crime II National Training Academy, a three-day workshop to be held May 17-20, 2016, at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

Welcomes advocates living with HIV, community organizers, activists, and experts in public health, law, and public policy from across the country to attend the conference.

Conference will cover state advocacy, grassroots organizing, criminalization reform messaging, and legal, medical, media, and public health issues related to HIV criminalization.

Three educational tracks will address Effective and Accountable Leadership, Rights and Policy and Justice, and Campaign Planning, Strategy and Messaging to provide state-level advocacy resources.

Thrive Alabama (formerly AIDS Action Coalition), formed in 1988, serves as the host AIDS service organization providing medical services, case management, and social services across 12 north Alabama counties.
