Celebrates the life and legacy of Sister Celestine Richburg, who passed away on March 19, 2016, at age 90.

Sister Richburg was born September 9, 1925, in Mobile County, Alabama, graduated from Dunbar High School in 1943, and married Reverend Tyree A. Richburg on September 11, 1953.

She was a faithful member of Greater Union Baptist Church, worked for the Mobile County School System, and spent her retirement caring for children in her home, earning the affectionate nicknames "MeMe" and "MaMee."

Survivors include her husband Pastor Tyree A. Richburg, four children, ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.

The House of Representatives offers this resolution in tribute to Sister Richburg's inspiring legacy and in heartfelt sympathy to her family and friends.
